Electrostatic attraction and repulsion

16 May

Static electrical charges can be produced on a neutral object by rubbing it with a different material like a woolen cloth or silk cloth. When two different materials are rubbed, electron transfer occurs. One material that  recieves electrons becomes negatively charged and the other material that loses electrons becomes positively charged. Materials with same charges will repel one another but material with different charges will attract one another.
